OK ... don't laugh, but I just now saw this area of the Forum for Life Stories. Talk about sloooooowwww! Anyhooo, for some reason lately, I have had the notion to replay my Life Stories. And I am having fun again ... let me tell you! It has been just long enough that, even though I know the ending and stuff that happens in between the beginning and the ending ... I'm still having a blast playing it again. I thought I might try to get a different outcome ... because this time around, I really don't like her guy!! Can someone explain to me how he can be in love with her one day, get jealous, break it off and run out and get married to someone else the next? If that's love, honey, I want none of it!! So, I did not want her to end up with that guy ... that fickle, fickle, want to smack him in the head, guy! Unfortunately, that's the way her story was written. Why didn't I see that the first time around? Well, since re-completing her story, I've been continuing in free-play, getting the houses in her neighborhood occupied and spending a little time at each house. I do want to re-play Vincent once I get to a certain point in Riley's life. Also, I've broken away to create and build lots for the main game. Anyway ... is there anyone else out there as crazy as I am and still playing Life Stories? I wish they would have continued, because I really enjoyed this type of game play!

I picked up Pet Stories long ago for like $20 and i enjoyed it, and was actually sucked in for the 6-8 hours it lasted. It was fun, when i tried to play it again though it seemed to be dull and boring. I don't think The Sims Stories sold well at all hence why they have yet to make another. Maybe we will see new ones using The Sims 3 engine? Who knows, however i doubt it.

I no longer play life stories, but I do still play castaway stories, I tend to get cranky and bored with it and start over constantly though, once the story is done, and you are trying to play the "neighbourhood"

I couldn't bring myself to buy Pet Stories. I found "Pets" extremely irritating in The Sims 2 and for the life of me could not imagine any improvement to be found in a "Pet Story"; so never even tried it. I have been tempted to buy "Castaways", but, I may have waited too long on that one, because I'm not sure it's available any longer for the PC. I'll have to check it out, but I know I couldn't find it at my local store. Well, I built up Riley's Neighborhood in Free Play, once I completed her story again. They had a baby girl in my game and she is now a child. Their neighbors include the "Bad guys". (He married her, they adopted a little girl.) Anyway, now that the hood is occupied ... I have no idea what to do with them all and have grown bored with the "Free Play". I guess I only like the "Story Driven" part of this game because I love The Sims 2 and there is so much more to do. I wish they would have incorporated the two games and offered some "story driven" aspects within The Sims 2. I really don't look for that in the Sims 3. They have "dummied" down the game so much, taken so much away from what we have and they are going to charge so much more for it. I can't imagine there being a whole lot more added to the Sims 3 other than the seamless neighborhood ... and that alone is not worth the high dollar they will be charging for the game. But ... that belongs in a "Sims 3" discussion. Guess I'll play Vincent's story and maybe next year will get in the mood to play Riley's and Vincent's stories again. .... hmmmmm
