Because this is my 3,500th post, I am going to start a city journal on my latest city, River Run.
I've been playing this city for awhile now.
So, I apologize for the lateness of the beginning of this city journal, but I will continue, of course, to add onto it as the city grows. (Which it is growing very fast)
Let's begin, shall we?
River Run is placed on a flat area right by the mouth of a long river that stretches far and wide in region I created from scratch called Clearwater.
The river winds through the center of the city as it empties into a bay which is by the ocean.
(Sorry for the incomplete picture below)
By the bay:
First zoning and construction on the Northern side, on the East side of the river:
Population: 10,586
Population: 20,533
First bridge to connect the east side of the river to the west side of the river:
Population: 80,280
Population: 102,912
Population: 114,338
Population: 138,298
Population: 143,024
New major apartment complex - Holds 5,000 Sim residents:
Once the city hit $1,000,000 in funds, it was time to really expand in the bottom right hands corner of the city. If you haven't noticed, there is a big empty area. But not anymore!
Population: 154,599
Other shots of the beautiful city at night:
About the city:
Great education.
Great health. (Life expectancy is 85 years old.)
Average residential income is $65,000.
NO industry. (Thank you, dirty neighbors!)
The entire city is powered by wind and sun.
Positive cash flow of over $11,000 a MONTH!
No cheats were used!
Commute time is very low, considering the many busy streets.
Environment is great.
Land value is increasing rapidly.
Hardly any air pollution.
No water pollution.
No garbage.
RCI demand is at an all-time high.
Mayor rating is good.
More to come soon! Feel free to comment and ask questions!
