I've been retired from simming since about um.....maybe april! Is there something wrong with me? I have absolutely no interest in playing anymore at all!

Nah, I doubt there's anything wrong with you. I lost interest in the game around that time, too. And I'm perfectly normal... Okay, well, I'm not normal. But that doesn't mean there's anything wrong with you.
You'll probably have this sudden urge to play it again, soon. I've been wanting to for a few months now, but my computers can't handle it. xD

There's nothing wrong with that Wolfe! I think you will find most of us have gone through stages of just....not being interested If you actually want to play and just cant get interested, try doing something different to your normal way of playing, or try one of the other sims games, you may find you want to play again after that

There's absolutely nothing wrong with you, the same thing has happened to me. Many, many times before. But lately I haven't been in the mood to actually play the game, I'm more excited about my story. So the only thing I've actually wanted to do with the game is go in and set up pics.

I haven't been able to do any 'serious simming' for a while myself. I just don't get the time. Either I'm too busy chatting on line, running my own forum and lurking about other forums.
The same applies to my story writing. I've suddenly developed writer's block and haven't written anything for a few months now.
So there's nothing wrong with you at all.
We all go through stages like that at some point.

No, nothing is wrong with you. I, myself, just got over a long break! There are other fn things to do, and people kind of forget about it. There is no better way to feed your addiction than taking a break!! And besides, after a long break, going back and playing the Sims 2 is more fun that ever!

Well, I'm going to be completely truthful, I don't like The Sims at all anymore. Sure, I want more expansion packs, but that's only to complete my collection. I do not, nor have I ever had an addiction with the game. And whenever I go to play my game, it just doesn't work. There's nothing wrong with having lost an interest in anything at all. Be it Sims, the computer, or a television show. It's not your fault. It just shows that you're moving on from old interests. As for myself, Simming is the last thing I want to do on any day of the week.

I've gone through that same thing, Wolfe. I went for many months of not playing a few years ago. Then I just decided to start playing again after I discovered the TS2 site and have been addicted since that day. Taking a break from something you like or even changing your feelings about something you used to like isn't a bad thing and it definitely doesn't make you weird.

There's nothing wrong! I've been taking breaks here and there for a while too! I've done a two weeks off, two weeks of simming, but my reason was because of being so busy. Maybe soon you'll have a sudden urge to play again... who knows Just as long as you are happy with your choices; it's fine!

I agree with the others. There is nothing wrong with taking a break-I do it all the time! sometimes the game just gets...well, boring. If you take a break you'll enjoy it the next time you play! There's nothing abnormal about it. If you do too much of any good thing you will get sick of it LOL.

There is nothing wrong with it at all, I have gone through phases where I have lost interest for various reasons, the most latest being I am into SimCity Socities and Sims 2 Castaway right now LOL. ;D Take a break from TS2 and after a few months or maybe even longer maybe you might have interest in the game again.

Nope everything is completley normal. Loosing intrest in something is completley natural. Take for instance you like ratlles when your a baby but when you grow older you lose intrest. Thats exactly what you have done. I Have been through that time my self i just lost intrest because i worked and i had some new games but then i just got the urge to play the game so i did, and now i love it again, its just a matter of time. you may get these urges to and as you get more and more endorced to the game you like it again. So don't worry your aint got nothin wrong with you
