We got our DD a Wii for Christmas and got her the My Sims game. We are having some difficulty with it as the cursor (hand) goes away a lot while we are building - is that normal?
Also -- do the Sims people always talk in a foregin language? We didn't see any place to set the language but they definitely aren't speaking English when they talk to each other. Thanks for the help for this "newbie"
Hope everyone had a nice holiday!!

Hi Emsmom! I don't have Mysims but I do have experience with the Wii. The wii is really hard to control sometimes. You can adjust the sensitivity settings, but sometimes it just takes some getting used to. You really don't need big movements with it, very small ones. The Sims people speak a gibberish language that is made of some African languages, other languages and some just gibberish. Hope thath helped you out

The MySims game is a great one! I have it and love it. The reason the cursor usually goes away is that it is not being used. Usually it will pop back up when you move it again. Also, sometimes if you are too close or too far away from the sensor it gets shakey or disappears. They say that 3 feet is the closest you should get to the sensor. Im not sue how far away is ok but trial and error will tell you where is best. Have fun with the game! Any other questions, please ask! Im sure we can help!

Yea like tink and greeny said, the curser can sometimes disapear or go off screen if you are too close, or maybe too far away. Always stay a few feet away, but yet not too far away so it doesn't work. Also make sure your sensr bar is set up correctly by selecting "Above TV" or "Below TV" in the wii system settings =)
Hope i helped ~Skyline
