Hi Blue. Like Larsy had said, you need to fulfill the bigger wants that your sims have in order to get the lifetime aspiration points - so (unfortunately) eating pancakes for breakfast isn't likely to get you any. Also, it seems like you don't get piles of them - one or two every so often ... Hope that helps.

Thanks Vice. Once I played a bit longer, I found out that membership is automatically granted at 5 or so enthusiasim (sp?) points, at which time the secret lot is available via any mode of transportation.

Well, it seems that I was lucky enough to get to install Free Time today. I got it via download from the EA store, and it seems that I got it a bit early because of it. I'm sorry, I didn't think to take any pictures while I was playing ... They've added quite a bit to actual game play with the addition of secondary aspirations and the ability to cash in points for little perks like slowed down motive decay and more holiday days from work etc. There are also some new items worth mentioning: new phones and colour co-ordinated kitchen appliances being my favorite (I've got all red in RL - lol). Ya'll are going to have BOAT LOADS of fun with it! The only thing is that there are "clubs" (for lack of a better word) for the hobbies that your sims show interest in, but I can't figure out how to access them ...
oh, and one more thing - when the guy comes and drops off the box at your door, it's probably going to be a computer. Select play ... sims 3 and you'll get that little video that's been floating around for a while now.

#1 - I'd fire the bugger! I'm not a very patient or tolerant employer! LOL
#2 - I'd force the bugger (todays fav word) to eat the rotten soup.
