I just got the sims 2 Castaway for PS2, its really a fun game, I had my doubts about it before I played it but I am really enjoying it so far, the game is a little on the easy side, but is a nice diversion from more drawn out versions of the sims 2. Right now, I am playing my first game of it still, I created a crew of 5 (max allowed is 6) You start the game out as one of the sims as playable, then later as you discover new areas of the islands and gain basic survival skills, you can find your other crewmates. So far I have only managed to find one of my original crew after I had my first playable sim build a raft and explore. The second crewmate was found on a place called west beach. After my sim befriended them, the option to have them join my tribe became available and I could now control both sims. I still have not figured out where to find the rest of the crew yet, there is a skeleton on west beach, I hope its not one of the original crew. But I been reading up on it and there is appearantly a potion that can bring a dead sim back to life once you find all the ingeredents for it. (I think I will make a seperate board for the sims castaway too, I think it might be a popular game!)

It does sound like fun! I have a PS2 downstairs that doesn't get much use anymore. Maybe I'll buy the game for that. Hmm...
Thanks for posting CJ and giving me more to think about.

I have it for the PS2 as well, its a really fun game, I had the same problem you did CJ with my first game, I couldnt find the rest of my crew I then restarted with only 2 and I'm finding it quite good, I did get stuck at one point, but thankfully Dixie halped me out of it!! I am now at the point where I can go home on the last boat I built but I think another island is going to turn up, and I havent found all the treasure map pieces yet so I'm going to stay and see how I go, I havent even finished all the goals yet! some of them really leave you scratching your head! I am finding it a really fun game, and I am definitely getting the stories version when it comes out next year.

That sounds like a lot of fun! I had Bustin' Out for GameBoy and the complexity kept me hooked. Looks like this one will be a winner, too. I might have to actually get it! The whole 'lost on an island' thing seems like fun play. ;D Thanks for sharing your account of the game

It is a great game. I get a bit annoyed when things get tedious, but overall, its really fun. Dont worry CJ, the skeletons are the crew of that wrecked ship, not your crewmates LOL.

LOL that's good to know, Tink
I just got the game and it's really fun! I admit the variety of clothes and the graphics are a bit disappointing, but overall it's really great! A very fun game. Unfortnatly my Sim doesn't have the maracas yet so her Fun meter is in the low bottom.

Just sit her at the fire for a little while Greeny, It takes a bit but her fun should go up after a bit. I havent had a chance to play lately but hopefully I shall have some time tomorrow to see how much further I can get.

Yeah, I have Castaway and I always play it with one character. Also, let's not forget the chimps. They are so huggable.

I've always wanted to pretend as though I were stranded on a desert island! I've been debating over whether or not to buy this game for a long time. But I think they released it for PC! Not sure... but I think they did. I probably won't get it because I'd play for a week and it'd sit in the corner forever... It sounds like an awesome game though!
