A neighbour introduced me to Sims1 before we bought our computer. Then she showed me Sims2. Sims1 was pushed aside to make way for Sims2 and the rest is history

My brother owned the sims 1 collection, then he got tired of it and gave it to me. I obviously fell inlove with it and everyone clamoured out to buy me all the ep's. Then whilst my hubby and I were living in seperated cities for a while, he came across the sims 2. Which he purchased for me and gave it to me on the one weekend I went up to visit him. His mistake of course since I spent the weekend playing the game, silly man should have known about my addition lol. But I had to go home and play the sims 1 again coz my PC couldn't handle the sims 2. It was months later when my hubby moved to the city I was in, and with him he brought a new PC for me, so I could play the sims 2. He's so sweet

When I first moved out of home I had the first Sims from a , when I moved back home again I bought the game (and SimCity 4) for my mum. I had chucked out my old PC and just played on hers, slowly building up the collection, I bought Sims 2 not long after it came out, and got my PC not long after that then I went crazy and bought every EP and SP I could get my hands on

I wanted a PC game to play, and my son picked the Sims out for me. Not soon after, The Sims 2 came out. I am now the happy owner of all of the EP's and SP's. Go me!

I was in the Army and had gotten a laptop to take with me to Iraq. Things happened and I ended up not being able to deploy, so I had to stay "in the rear". I had virtually no games on my laptop and there were many many nights that I had to be on 24 hour duty. A of mine (now my husband) had the Sims 1 and gave me his disc since he didnt play much so I would have something to do on duty. I was hooked instantly. I got all the EPs for TS1 as our PX got them in. I think I was probably the first one at the PX to buy the Sims 2 when it released, too. Sadly, my laptop didnt handle it that well and I had a ton of crashes. But I still played like mad. Once I got back here to the states, I got a new PC and got all the EPs and SPs when they released. So I really blame my husband for my addiction LOL.

While I was on vacation to the Philippines I was dead bored. I noticed my cousin playing The Sims 1, and I had fun playing it, but I only got to play it for 2 hours and that was it.
When I went back to Denmark, it was displayed on a store's window, and my mum agreed to buy it. I soon collected my first EP, Livin Large.
I didn't join the Sims 1 community though, since I was really unfamiliar to forums at that age. Makin Magic came out, with a bonus CD about the Sims 2, and here I am 6 years later

My Hayley had the Sims for a while, and I always had thought it was cool, but never got it. A few years later I saw that my cousin had it, and I was hooked. I soon got my own game.

Ahahah all sounds like good fun! I bumped into my mate one morning on the bus going to school many a year ago, and she'd just bought the base Sims1 and we spent the whole journey (approx. 20 mins) straight talking about it.. It inspired me about a week later to buy it, then I went and spread the love to my wonderful friends. Unfortunately not many of them caught on to it like I have... Lol

Great stories, everyone! My story is a bit drab..I've been playing the Sims 1 for awhile and then heard about the new version, so I begged my parents to get it and afterwards raced to Walmart and purchased my copy. I remember the first hour when we were trying to figure out the game, possibly the best hour I have ever played the game. I was just awed by the graphiscs and gameplay.

I was talking to one of my friends and she told me about, "this really cool computer games called the Sims.'' I decided it sounded fun and my mom bought it for me on Christmas. Then years went on and the sims 2 came out and now, I love the game more then ever.

I heard about sims 1 first from a guy I used to date. He had it, and I tried it and I got hooked. I heard about sims 2 from a sneak preview cd in the Makin magic cd case...I was excited about it from the moment I saw!
