Well I have a mix of elements from my real life and an ideal world I would like to see and as far as my sims I have some that are really beautiful and some average looking ones as well as some that are just hideous, lol. ;D

Although this topic has been dead for about ten or so months, I thought it'd be a great topic to discuss - now that more expansion packs have expanded the possibilities for possible gaming experience that The Sims 2 brings to you. Also, many have changed their gaming experience that they have in their game play.
As for myself, I try to focus around my block, rather than my hood. I also try to focus around the aspects of places where I believe I would want to go and live. The Sims 2, however, is about the infinite possibilities of living styles your Sims can live. That's my opinion.

This was a good topic to pull up from the basement of the general discussion board. Well, I make areas in my neighborhoods, just like in real life. So, I have really rich houses, medium priced homes, to the starter homes. My Sims work their way to the more expensive homes, just like in real life..well, for most of us anyway. I try to have a variety of Sims, jobs, homes, aspirations and different looking Sims. So, my game is very diverse.

I agree Nick and Kim, this is a good topic, its interesting to see how others play Since I have just reinstalled (yet again) mine is completely maxis, I dont have a single piece of CC installed either, so its rather bland Before, I had made a neighbourhood to be as australian as I could make it, I had downloaded a lot of aussie style CC, some queenslander homes, as well as (tried) making my own, I enjoyed trying to make it look australian, and I have a thing for trying to duplicate houses I have lived or been in, quite challenging for some of them! aside from that one 'hood, I generally just leave everything as it is, and plop down a house here and there. As for my sims, I usually only play family knowledge and wealth unless I am doing a challenge, and I tend to work on the LTW's, so my sims themselves are very similar, though I do love to play around with genetics (and havent I made some horror heads before!)

My sims hood varies according to what I'm actually doing at the time. I've got a Medieval/fantasy theme for one, a tiny little community that is slowly growing for another one, and a town that looks as though it's been developed over the years with another.
The last hood, has lots like a police station (with police woman and alsatian dog), fire station (complete with fireman and dalmatian), an old folks home, a boarding school, hospital, with adjoining residency for the staff. A chapel, Market Square and it's still growing
