Warnings/ Messages from Simasters. « Thread Started on Oct 8, 2008, 4:58pm »
I thought it would be fun, to see the different messages that everyone has gotten from the sim masters. I've only gotten one so far, and I just received it today. I suppose I'm just curious if they send out the same message, just tweeked?
Mine: Ok, so it was late at night. =P
You are being warned for off topic posting. This sort of thing is not allowed on the BBS. You may have thought that's what the now banned person was doing, but he was trolling and that is a bannable offense. Off topic can be trolling also (such as if you had posted more than one thread like this.)

Well - all my warnings have been highly stupid - and I didn't find them amusing at all... but... First warning, ever.

You are being warned about talking about a banned Simmer. That's inappropriate everywhere on this website. You've been warned about this before.

I find it very sad that abattista was perma banned for just being sarcastic. sarcasm... wow just wow. those are some amazing pictures she had."
What irks me is - that was my first warning ever how could I have been warned about it before?
This was the second one...
SimMasters are plain retarded. Both were replies to other threads. The second one wasn't even off topic because the thread was about SIMS. I find it highly ironic, that in a promotion video for the Sims they were talking about how simmers created their favorite characters from books and movies in TS2 - yet we're not allowed to discuss it on the official site?

Well, I can proudly say that I have never been warned by a SimMaster. I post when needed, I flag and walk away.
I just think about how hard my job is here, and then multiply that by about a million. They have a lot of boards, and tons of posts to go through. It certainly can't be an easy job. And people who post off topic just makes their job that much more difficult.

Agreed. I posted off topic, mainly because I was a wee bit bored. Yes it was wrong, but it's not as if I'll run out and do it again. I just wanted to see what it was like. Hey, we all have a little evil in us somewhere now don't we?
Yeah Kimi, I can only imagine how hard it is. They have to check countless posts, for language, off topic things, and any others.

Im with you, Kim. Never been warned either. I would never want to waste my time doing something to get warned over there. I figure the mods there have enough issues to deal with. I also figure their job being hard enough as it is. Plus, Id never want to risk a ban, since I may need to use that site now and then still.
Here we go, life's waiting to begin. I have gone, life's starting to begin.

Okay, here's the scenario:
Someone quite talented had created a George W. Bush sim. I commented on how much the sim resembled him and complimented his skinning skills (truly and earnestly). Then I thanked him for producing a sim I wouldn't feel guilty at all for drowning in the pool. The orignial poster laughed and thanked me for the input.
Well I did not get a formal warning, but my post was removed and it was recommended (pretty diplomatically, really) that we may comment, compliment, etc. in a thread - just not say what we were going to do with said sim.
